The 2024 Food and Health Survey marks the 19th time the International Food Information Council (IFIC) has surveyed Americans. This year’s survey continues an examination of issues related to personal health, nutrition, eating patterns, food production, and food safety. This year we tripled the sample size, and surveyed 3,000 Americans, age 18 to 80 years online between March 8 and March 24, 2024.

Toolkit: Healthy School Meals
This toolkit provides resources for advocates to improve school meals. The focus of this toolkit is advocacy at the state and local levels, but many of the resources provided can be used for federal advocacy as well. Topics covered include strengthening nutrition standards, increasing access to free meals, and funding for training, technical assistance, and kitchen equipment for operators. All fact sheets can be downloaded and printed or shared electronically with stakeholders.

IFIC conducted a survey of 1,000 Americans to gauge their perceptions of the healthfulness, safety, risks, and benefits of consuming sugar, LNCS, and sugar alcohols. This survey builds on their 2021 Sweeteners Survey, deepening insights and understanding of how and why consumers make certain dietary decisions, including whether or not to consume or avoid certain types of sweeteners.
